Nepal Oral Health Charity Project
Early this year, D.Nepali will be leading another dental group from the new charity organisation founded by himself and a number of local dentists called “Smiles Across Nepal”. He will be going in March 2013 to provide much needed dental help in the remote mountains of Nepal, as well as doing some advanced implant training for Kathmandu University. For details of the charity see the links for: “Smiles Across Nepal”
Last November, Dr. Nepal lead a dental project with a team of 12 dental personnel from the United Kingdom to go to the remote mountains of to help treat the poor people there who have no access to dental health care. They visited remote outreach centres where over 1200 patients were treated in just 4 days.
Additionally, the UK team has been working closely with Kathmandu University and have set up an educational course certified by the postgraduate institute of Newcastle University to train up local paramedics who will therefore be able to provide better long term dental care in the rural areas of Nepal.
